That is where Samaxia comes in. We are a family-run UK pet healthcare business, based in Lincoln, working with veterinary practices to make high-quality, non-prescription products more accessible to pets and the people who care for them.

Why we created Samaxia

Samaxia was founded by Samantha Williamson after more than 25 years working across animal health and healthcare. Having seen the difference that practical, well-designed products can make in veterinary practice, Sam wanted to build a business that combined industry experience with a genuinely personal approach.

Today, Samaxia remains a family business. We are hands-on, close to our customers and passionate about the products we represent. We may be growing, but our purpose remains simple: to help veterinary teams and pet owners access practical, easy-to-use everyday healthcare solutions at a sensible price.

What we do

We partner with specialist manufacturers, including French veterinary laboratory MP Labo, to bring carefully selected products to the UK.

Our wider range supports several areas of everyday pet care:

Our products are non-prescription, but that does not mean pet owners should ever feel they have to make decisions alone. Your veterinary practice knows your pet and should always be your first port of call if symptoms are new, persistent, painful or worrying.

How we choose the products we bring to the UK

We do not believe in adding products simply to make a range look bigger. We look for solutions that meet a genuine need and can make everyday care easier for pets, owners and veterinary teams.

When considering a product, we look closely at the quality and purpose of its ingredients, the evidence and technical expertise behind it, how straightforward it is to use and whether it offers something meaningfully different.

We also listen. Feedback from vets, veterinary nurses and pet owners helps us understand what works well, where more guidance is needed and how we can continue to improve.

Why veterinary practices are so important to us

Veterinary professionals are at the heart of animal health. That is why Samaxia works closely with independent practices, veterinary groups, wholesalers and specialist teams across the UK.

Many of our products can be bought directly from a veterinary practice or ordered through the practice's usual wholesaler. Selected products are also available from established online pet-health retailers, from the Samaxia website and through our Amazon UK store.

Whichever route you use, our aim is the same: to make it easier to find the right product while keeping veterinary advice central to responsible pet care.
